About Us: Committees

The New Jersey State Chapter of the Latino Peace Officers Association has the following standing committees:

Membership
This committee recruits qualified persons into this association.
Ways and Means
This committee seeks financial resources for the association to operate in a fiscally sound manner.
Financial Review
This committee audits the association’s financial records and assists the state chapter’s treasurer in the preparation of the annual financial report. It also reviews expenditures and makes recommendations on fiscal policies.
Community Outreach
This committee engages communities and other organizations with the objective of fostering association programs and activities in an effort to improve relations with the communities we serve.
By-Laws
This committee reviews the by-laws twice a year and makes recommendations on any changes. Amendments are presented and voted upon by the general assembly.
Public Affairs
This committee keeps the membership apprised of issues and judicial decisions affecting this association.
Scholarship
This committee establishes guidelines for the association’s scholarship program to be utilized in the distribution of scholarship funds.
Standard Operating Procedures
This committee is responsible for maintaining, updating and distributing the administrative policies and procedures manual established by the board.
EEOC
This committee is responsible for the review and the monitoring of equal employment/labor-related matters.
